Stroud and Nailsworth have some of the most wonderful cafes, pubs, shops, bookstores, restaurants, and markets. In this section, I will be sharing some of my favorite spots with you with a little caption description. Enjoy!
STAR ANISE ARTS CAFE, Five Valley Foyer, Gloucester Street, Stroud
Star Anise Arts Cafe is an organic cafe owned by Nicholas Allan. Nicholas’s open kitchen design is welcoming and friendly. Everything I have eaten at the cafe is spectacular! I feel the effects of giving my body healthy foods immediately — I am satisfied and don’t munch between meals. The cafe also hosts a variety of music and events, like the Long Finger Bandits, a crazy, amazing band from Liverpool that needs to be discovered! They are absolutely the best band I have heard in a long time.

MILLS CAFE, 55 High Street, Stroud
Mills Cafe is a quaint cafe overlooking a local farmer’s market and mini flea market during the week. The croissants are fantastic and their quiches are traditionally delicious. Hot cocoas are not too sweet and served with sugar packs if you want your cup of cocoa a little sweeter.
